hello, so my 82 xj750 seca, I changed out the fork seals, and for some reason the brakes won't work now. I heard the brakes run off the same oil as the forks. I would like to know how to get my brakes working again. I tried bleeding the brakes but no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

The brakes do NOT run off the same oil as the forks. The 750 Secas do have anti-dive units which are controlled by the brake system. They indirectly affect the flow of oil in the forks to slightly stiffen them during braking. Did you bleed at both the caliper and the anti-dive units?

Not sure why redoing your forks would affect the brakes, unless the hydraulic system was inadvertently opened up.

How old are your brake lines?

You need DOT 3 brake fluid....DO NOT put anything else in system.
