Well i will be doing my valves tomorrow evening. Stripping it anyway.
I have 6 or more tight valves out of spec.
Its at the point where its starting harder and harder.
So i will take lots of pics along the way. First time doing this. So bare with me i may have lots of questions. Lol.
I do have service manual, so hopefully that will get me threw it.
    To be continued. ..... . . . . . . . .

I was nervous the first time I checked and adjusted valves. Procrastinated a long time.

Now easy peasey after the first time.

    Which bike?

Halifax, 750x I think, no difference in the valve adjustment to the 700X though.

Signature doesn't show up on the mobile version unless I hold the phone sideways. I'm always having to reload the page to find out.

Nothing gained removing the exhaust cam if they're all in spec. Just curious how many intakes you found tight and at what mileage. Mine had about 10,000 kms on it and I found a couple valves tightened up. That's when I found out my local Y dealer didn't have much of a service department. No one there had a clue what I wanted when I asked for shims. This was long before Chacal's excellent service existed.

I had 6 tight on intake side. 56k

    One was like .05mm a couple at .08mm and 4 at .10mm

    All exhaust were .25mm
I get that at a few Y dealers to. There's a few within am hours drive away from me. Some have no idea.

Exhaust tells me .21 to .30 is what is recommended clearance.
    Mine were all around .25

But-- it's not telling you the
" recommended clearance "..... it's telling you what your ACCEPTABLE RANGE is. Your .25mm is in the acceptable range..... in-spec.
