Spark plug wires/ ignition coils

    Hi all my fellow xj riders. I am looking to upgrade my spark plug wires only because they are extremely old and it has weak spark, when I removed the spark plug cap there was 1 extremely small wire and some white corrosion powdered substance, I have a 1981 xj750RH Seca, does anyone know if I can just change the spark plug wires and not the whole coil assembly? Or do I have to buy all new coils?

    Original ones are molded into coils. You can try trimming them back 1/4" and install new caps or use a honda style coil with replaceable wires.
    New Dyna coils are an excellent choice and will give you years of trouble free riding. Check with Len@xj4ever for correct ones ( icon top right of page)

    nkg makes spark plug wire splices to just change the wires . xj4ever sells a splice kit too
