Ok, I think I have a good idea of setting up these carbs. I read that some set the first one manually setting the float level and then come back and do a fluid test. Then they have the reference point for the other three carbs. My question is when you do a fluid test do you perhaps use an old float bowl gasket rather than compressing a new one and if you are out of spec having to undue the bowl and then recompress the same new gasket.

I just checked all the floats with a homemade gauge and then did the wet setting. It took several times to get them set correctly. I used the same gaskets from start to finish. Be sure there are no air bubbles in the tubing when you take the readings. Also, after I got them set I let them sit for 10-15 minutes and rechecked them just to make sure the needles were not leaking. I also set mine 1 mm below the target setting, but still within the specified range.

The gaskets don't compress much, and they swell up once the gas hits them.

Tabaka, my Hitachci 33's have a 1mm setting. Pretty much I guess the bowl is brim full. Not a lot of allowance here for +/-
