110/90-19 front tire ok for 550 Seca?

    A friend is offering me his new Shinko 712s for my 82 XJ 550 Seca. Rear is a 120, that I know will be ok. Front is a 110/19-19.

    Will the front be safe to run? I’m a casual rider - nothing extreme.

    A 110 is a tad wide (stock metric equivalent is 100), but should be OK.

    I have 100-90-19 on the front and 120-90-18 on the rear. Installing the rear my tire it rubbed on the chain guard. So they must have cut the one you have for clearance. I swapped my chain guard for my extra max one. Worked great.

    And they are good tires as well. Shinko bought the motorcycle tire division from Yokohama.
