I saw that. Unfortunately his catalog reads a bit like a Ph.D. thesis. Every time I look at the brake section I end up confused in an endless series of explanations on all the possible options and every single washer and nut is listed separately.

    Hi TonyBlueGoat,

Other commenters have good advice about XJ4Ever.com @chacal - There's really no need to try and identify what you think you need from his parts catalogue here on the forum. I had a general idea of what I thought was needed for my valve shim job - so I asked him - and he validated the correctness of my order.
Start a conversation with him and explain: Year, Make, Model and any other supporting information (VIN, pictures, ect); ask for stainless steel brake lines or other parts. He will shoot you an explanation, how to place your order, and an order quote. He and I did this about three times before deciding it was what we needed! He's gonna know what you need right off the bat and he will probably even measure/take pictures to satisfy your every inquiry. Did I mention I got my parts in like two days?! Atlanta to Texas via USPS - faster than the Amazon.

    Cheers mate,

I don't recommend XJ parts from ebay, you will probably get a part that is either "close" or "not at all like the original." As stated, contact Chacal, and he will give you your options. Fast delivery, will provide after sale assistance with installation, and it will be the correct part.

Almost everytime I've ordered XJ parts from ebay, I've had trouble (except for the NOS seat I bought).

For example, I ordered a OEM style clutch cable off ebay. I got one that was close, but took some rerouting for it to work correctly, too long.
I ordered rear brake shoes from ebay, turns out there were two types used in XJ550's, got the wrong ones.

By contrast, the brake lines I got from Chacal were OEM match, and he provided answers to some of my questions.
