Thermal camera

Playing with my new toy today (went down to $165 on Amazon last week, so I pulled the trigger).
Nice to see all the pipes hot.

 

nice does it snap shot or continuously image?

 

Super cool! What's she look like after a decent ride? Good amount of heat soak? Congrats on the new thermal gear. I would suggest checking your homestead for heating/cooling performance issues.

 

maybe it be used to adjust mixture screws settings comparing to a known good cylinder setting

 

My initial thing was for home heat loss stuff, but decided anything that gets hot would be fun... I've imaged the pets already.
It will do video or stills, but you do get a live feed off the unit. (this is the Seek Compact if you're looking on Amazon or wherever)

 

One can never have TOO many toys, and if you can use them for what their real purpose was, even better!!

 

That's been discussed before. Latency would make the process quite a bit more time consuming than using a Colortune, or even the idle-drop method.

 

I know this is juvenile, but I wanna know what a fart looks like!

 

My wife has always been cold. At a science museum, the family walked past a thermal camera. The kids and I registered shades of red and yellow. My wife registered shades of blue and black. Our suspicions were confirmed...

 

I could do video of that. I'm sure it would go viral!
