A few photos of my latest mods. I just completed the bobtail fender addition and did a few things like shortening the shocks to lower the rear even more (the Maxim rear wheel dropped it down about 1-1/2" also) I used and LED tailight (one made for a truck) and mounted mini bullet lights, hooked up so they come on with the brake light and still work as turn signals (used a trailer tailight converter)
Now to get rid of that instrument cluster to clean up the front end will be next on my things-to-do list along with a new paint job.
    ...what d'ya think? >PD<

Your fish finder is killing this otherwise killer looking ride.

I'm diggin the fender man, I like the look alot! I think if I was to do the saeme thing I would try to shorten it a little though, I wonder if it can be cut down with a Dremel? How much did you pay for the fender?

someone here succesfully used a bicycle speedo [not the pants]
I didn't know they are weatherproof. the bike's looking good. at what speed does your cupholder become a spray gun?

...ya the cup holder doesn't do much for the look, but it's convenient for carrying my coffee tumbler in the morning on the way to work.
I shortened the shocks but first compressing them with a shock compressor I made myself out of three threaded rods and flat paltes with holes drilled in them (pretty simple to figure out)
Then I removed the big clip on top of the shock that holds the spring down. I then removed the spring and with a 4" die grinder, I cut off 1" from each spring. Then I put everything back together and took it for a ride. I made sure to find a rough road to see how it rode and it works perfect. They don't bottom out, which I was concerned about and it handles great. I should've done this mod long ago. With the short (thin) seat and the shortened shocks, and the Maxim rear wheel (1-1/2" smaller than the Seca rear wheel) my feet are flat on the pavement. It sits nice and low. I sit "in" the bike instead of "on" it now. >PD<

Oh ya...and I'm removing the instruments this off-season sometime. That will more than likely be an all day job. I have to see which wires I will need to keep and which ones that can be cut out completely. I plan to have three small LED lights for the indicator lights. One for high beams (blue), one for the side stand (amber...not sure I will be needing that one) and green for nuetral. I figure I can find a spot some where below the speedometer to mount them on the tripple tree. >PD<

Those are tidy little mufflers on there too. Where'd they come from?

I bought those little mufflers used (Ebay) and I'm not sure where they came from. You can find them at JC Whitney or Dennis Kirk if you want a pair. Or just watch Ebay and some just might pop up! I like the sound or them. Not loud, just a nice deep, throaty rumble.
