Off course a little, but does anyone know where to buy replacement nuts. I stumped the local ACE store.
    TIA

Either at your Yamaha dealer (and wait at least two weeks for the order to come in), or start a conversation with chacal and have them in a few days.
If you are not concerned with looks, get stainless nuts and double them up.

They tend to say that about everything they sell, and sometimes it's true. That's been my experience anyway.

Guess who just snapped another threaded stud... @chacal what's the link to your parts catalogue for the studs and nuts...

OP - oil those threads too. basically what I've said here is oil your nuts and shaft every day for a month and without really trying to set matti up again you need to use penetrating oil - like PB blaster.

As you can tell these feckers are a bit of a PITA but taking them off and on again is a good thing - moving them is good - the longer they sit without being moved the more chance they'll snap on their own just through 30 years of thermocycling.

    Not gonna say anything.
    Too easy.
    Yeah, and too busy.
I'm off to oil my shaft and nuts.
