Can I plug a tire the same way you would plug a car tire? Also is there a good way to find the leak? My rear tire pressure is always low after a few days, and it is very hard to add air to, I don't have my own compressor, and everyone around here has a thick plastic nozzle that doesn't fit good inside the well.

And I am guessing something like fix a flat would be a big no-no?

if you dont want to take the wheel of and stick it in a water tub to find the leak you could always use water mixed with washing up liquid and paint it on. you might get lucky and the valve might just be leaking or the tyre may just need reseating.

I have plugged a tire on my previous xj750. It worked fine. I was a few hundred miles from home and aparently when I pulled off to get gas I ran over a nail. The tire was flat when I was done filling up. I walked a mile or so to an auto parts store to get a tire plug kit. It lasted the life of the tire. After that I always like to have a plug kit and an emergency inflater with me.
I have never used fix a flat for a motorcycle tire, but I have always heard it is not good to do. It can make the tire unbalanced badly.

The dish washing liquid always worked good for me when trying to find a leak in a tire.

Use a tube! Cheap, easy, reliable (safe)
Moto Tires are way to thin to retain a plug.
