To each his own I guess. I'm all for keeping things original but this one looks good too me.

Disk brake on the front and mag rims on the back don't belong, but the price is right!

Not everyone can ride a two-wheeler while only having one leg, or being paraplegic. One of the coolest custom bikes I ever saw was a GL1000 that had been turned into an permanent hack (sidecar) so the owner could roll his wheelchair onto it, lock in, and go riding.

I suppose that might depend on where you live. HD made tons of them. Longest production run of any model; 1932-1973
They are about the least expensive way to buy a flathead HD in riding condition.
It's also the best idea that they ever stole from Indian.

Matti, they got disc brakes in the front in the 50's and all around in the late 60's. I'd say that it's acceptable to upgrade older years unless it's only going to be a display item.

Sorry, you got me, I just hate paraplegics and have apotemnophobia ;)

Obviously, if there's a good reason for customizing a perfectly good motorbike.. such as you mention.. I'm all for it but taking away a poor motorbikes lean without such is still a Sarlac offence in my book.

Sorry. I thought you said longest production run of any model, which I interpreted as nameplate. They're somewhat interchangeable, but not exactly the same. Effin' English!

I must deviate a bit from the topic.
This is the best ad for work-avoidance that I've ever seen.
"Honey, when are you going to redo the retaining wall!? I've been asking for months."

    Just brilliant.

That is Huckleberry Finn levels of optimism!
How much would someone pay for the opportunity to do that guy's chores?

I don't often see a custom bike for a price I'd be willing to pay, but that is definitely the exception!
