They're not entirely wrong if you want an enjoyable sportsbike as a daily rider.
The Yamaha turbo was not as well developed as it should have been before public release (none of the turbo bikes were).
    Parts scarcity is another issue.

Though if they knew about the Minsk brand, the 650 turbo would get pushed back more than a few places.

This article revealed a lack of knowledge in the writer. By listing the Kawasaki triples he explains why they are not a practical rider, however anyone considering ownership already knows this and is buying it for his collection. Same can be said about other bikes on the list.
The Yamaha Turbo was on the list, ok, but he failed to emphasis how ugly they are. :p

What a waste of time , several bikes on that list would look good in my garage . I've read articles on cars before calling this model or brand lemons well I've owned a couple on their list guess I got the hand built model ,because I did not have a problem with mine :D . Some bikes are not everyone's cup of tea , guess I'm weird I would take a Royal Enfield 500 over a Hyabusa ...guess cause I'm old , flat out speed is not what I want any more just riding is fun .

Hyabusa - around here riders call them the cabusa - as in all you ever see of them is the red taillight (caboose). One Saturday morning at the local dealership, saw a fella picking up 2 rather expensive meaty rear tires, same size. I happened to notice he had arrived on a very rumbly and tricked out 'busa" a few minutes earlier. I casually asked him if he had 2 "busas" that needed rear tires. He said, nope, just the one outside. I go through a couple of these tires every week. Don't cost me nothing though - win twice this much racing every Saturday night. I looked at the tire rack later, and sure enough, there must have been 8 more of those very same tires on the rack. BAD A.. bike for sure. I'm fortunate that they did not exist back in the 70's.

I test rode one when they came out. The seating position was a killer on my neck.
I rode a 1000 Honda Hurricane for 5 years, same kink in the neck.
Big huge motorcycle with the rider tied up in a pretzel, no more!
