    I have inherited a xj550 that I am converting into a soft tail chopper. The previous owner had died and his son gave it to me. The tci box is missing and I am unable to locate one in Jamaica. I am thinking that I could use two of the ones that come on an ordinary two or one cylinder motorcycle or any from a four cylinder

    Can you say if the Yamaha xj550 uses a cdi or a tci unit?
