So i am learning about clutches! this is my first one. bike did run/drive before i started toying.

Problem: I start the bike. I pull clutch lever in. kick first gear and it tries to take off and stalls out.

What I did to possibly cause this:
bike been sitting for 2 years with sporadic starts.
i replaced cracked case cover did not touch springs or clutch plates. i struggled with getting the cable arm on the cover to line with marker dot. not sure if i have it correct now but it feels like its working.
    new cable.
started bike with wrong oil in it. revved the snot out of it. i replace oil it 2 more times with incorrect oil.

today i pulled cover off, springs and all clutch plates out. 2-3 were stuck together.
i peeled them apart cleaned lube with 10\40 for wet clutch.. and put back in order lined dots up. filled with oil and still same problem.. gotta be something simple i am missing.

Couple of thoughts do you have clutch cable routed correctly from lever to clutch arm? Have you adjusted clutch at the lever there is an adjustment wheel if it is too tight this can cause issues.

yeah i tried repeatedly to adjust the cable. I am going to try again today. i really don't want to pull the clutch out again. could it be the arm on the clutch cover?
was thinking last night maybe i put the boss ring in the wrong place. i don't know lol learning is fun

Is the bike stalling suddenly, or does it lurch forward a bit before stalling?
This may be an electrical issue.

pull the sidestand safety relay it is under seat left side . that will eliminate the sidestand switch as the problem.
also disconnect the black white wire from the tci

Since this is your first bike i got a couple of questions.
    1. Are you giving the bike some throttle when you release the clutch?
    2. Place the bike on the center stand and pull the clutch in and pop it into first and dont let go of the clutch. What happens? Does the clutch stay engaged? Does the bike stall?
    3. How long did the motor run with the incorrect oil?
    4. Did the plates look burnt?
    5. Can you afford new plates, springs and washes?
