Could someone please identify these carburettors , they are from my brothers xj750 trike he has recently bought . They are Mikuni and have the numbers 130 stamped inside, we need to repair one and think it might not be an xj750 engine .
    Any help greatly appreciated.

Stump told you but you're ignoring his link.
Read the church page, it will provide very useful information for your problems.
You're suspecting a fuel problem and I would agree. Time to dig into your carbs.

We have just found out that the engine number is not the original xj750 and has been replaced by a bigger engine . Now need to find out what engine and carbs we have. Also no sparks at the second and third cylinders .

Those looks like the Mikuni ones from a maxim “X” that are on my bench. Enrichment plungers horizontal. Carb hats have high tops.
This is the xj700xn(us model) or Xj750xn (Canadian model) “X” water cooled motor.
Only thing bigger is the xj900 air cooled engine.

Mark is in the UK so likely a 750 RL or 900RK so mikuni’s make sense. Maxim-X pretty rare there. They do have gray imports though so still possible

1985/86 xj750? If it's prior to that, the carbs should be hitachi..........so we need to know what the actual engine in it is. If it's bigger than the 750, it's probably a 900, but that's why we need the number that Chacal asked for.

Now I'm confused. I thought the 84 750 RL was just a downsized 900 which would have mikuni.
Now I understand why you suspected 750X

'84 xj750rl is basically a 900rk, bbbut has a 750 engine in it. The x750rl also has Hitachi Carbs, NOT mikuni
