Hello, I just picked up an 82 750 Maxum, with 39k on the clock. This has been sitting for a couple of years. I hooked it up to a good battery, and put fresh gas in it. I got it running, but after 5-7 minutes, when l gave her a few good revs, she had an oil leak. It seems to be coming from the rubber "bellows" in between the secondary, and the drive shaft housing. Any ideas on what the issue might be? Thanks!

Is there any oil coming from the crankcase breather?
It's located on the left just below the front of the airbox.

I'll have to check that out. Hope it's nothing too serious.

That would be from the sump being overfull, either with oil, or with gas leaking from the carb float needles.
Don't discount the middle-drive o-ring and seal though.

Agree with the above, but if it were me I'd want to make darn sure the whole crankcase isn't being overfilled with fuel from leaking carb needles/bad petcock or any combination thereof
