There's a rear disc brake on it? On the left side? And what appears to be a drive chain/sprocket on the right side?

Do those batteries travel around WITH the bike?

We better get Dr. Polock in here, stat, to comment on this............

And you wouldn't want anyone to steal it, as it is a bit "top heavy" and the theif might drop it and break a turn signal or two, and then might sue the seller for selling them a bike that was top-heavy and prone to falling over and not telling them about that problem.

Poor choice of batteries and controller. It's about 15 years out of date for a homebuilt in that regard.

The rear wheel looks to be from a Ninja 500.

Kryptonite lock?, I'd leave it parked and running.
The instant I saw it it thought, Arnold Schwarzenegger in his drugged up prime couldn't lift that thing. let alone "The bike is too heavy for me. " Don't feel bad it's too heavy for anyone this side of a Silverback Gorilla.
Probably has those foam filled tires like some earth moving equipment does?
    Fugly doesn't begin to describe..
One should never speak ill of the dead but.. the builder Dave Cloud probably died from embarrassment, or hari kari the only honorable way out?

The whole swingarm disaster is hideous, too..........regular swingarm that had has the end chopped off, an ugly who-knows-what mass of stuff welded on, to bypass the driveshaft and rear gear.......and then the ridiculously large sprocket for the chain on the other side.

Rim looks kind of like a 900rk or a turbo 650, or a 550 Vision rim that has been turned around and modified......

both brakes appear to be hand operated, so where did he get a LH brake master cylinder?
He must have used a clutch master, never heard of anyone doing this other than Mick Doohan when his right leg was too mangled to operate a foot brake.

There is a fairly large market for that sort of thing. It's not just Mr. Doohan that has a bum leg. Some people ride without any legs at all.
It could be that a scooter master cylinder was adapted as well.

It would not be for the clutch as we know it. The xj engine/transmission is not in the bike. This is an electric engine with one gear. So it's probably a hydraulic "engage/disengage drive" of some sort. Too bad we can't see the damage on the OTHER side

I’m thinking it’s a brake for the rear, you can see the copper? line running out back. If electric one speed there is probably no clutch or would there be a need for one.

I think the rear left disc brake is probably engineered to be hydraulic right foot pedal. If things are re-arranged to be opposite hands/feet/order, I believe 1) it's illegal, 2) it's very dangerous

I have "Thumb brakes" on two (and soon to be three) of my bikes. It's not that difficult and quite natural to use, left thumb operates the rear brake. I don't use rear brakes much anyway. My XJ 750 Maxim will have a rear thumb brake for sure, part of my winter's project. This is the first bike I built back in 2003/4 XS 650 everything was changed, geometry, total suspension change the works, and the thumb brake. You can see the left thumb "paddle"

Whoa, that's different! How much travel before engagement? 1/4 turn throttle and all that safety wire makes me think you have racing in your portfolio.
