My turn signal won't push to cancel 1983 750 Maxim. The signals turn on fine and cancel after a set time but it is difficult to impossible to push and cancel them. Is there any serviceable parts inside? Had it open everything looked good would a spray with an electric cleaner be a place to start. The slide button doesn't seem to have any in and out motion side to side is great and it returns to the middle no problem.

You need to slide the button down, not in. At least that's how it works on my 83 750 maxim.

I'll give that a try, my last bike was a push to cancel. Hope that's it.
