'85 XJ750 manual re coolant

    I am new ( mature) rider and my '85 XJ750 is my first bike. I have the Yamaha service manual but it has no information on the cooling system. Is there an additional section available? I don't have any problems yet but I had to guess how to confirm coolant level and type from other forums.

    Do you have a Maxim-X or the regular Maxim?
    The Maxim X has a radiator, the regular Maxim does not. You may have the wrong manual for your bike, or the wrong bike for your manual.

    50/50 mix of an ethylene glycol antifreeze for aluminim radiator. distilled water in a pinch


    FSM just tells total qty to use my owners manual just gives quanity looks like it is missing the page with how to check levels .
    fill up radiator and then overflow tank between min and max levels
