Carbs have been cleaned and bench synced, bike will only start and stay running with starting fluid or with my hand on the throttle. If I let it idle it will die immediately it's getting fuel I can see the fuel filter filled with fuel I've messed with the idle screw nothing. I'm at a loss

    Welcome to the clan.
There is one item that is overlooked during the cleaning process.
There’s a small passage in the float bowl that gets gummed up. And if it doesn’t clear easily, then a bit of heat does the trick for me. Fill the hole with carb cleaner and heat the outside of the bowl until it bubbles and repeat until clear .

That is the culprit for sure! I use a bread tie, strip it down to the wire and use it to poke open the hole. Carb cleaner and compressed air with the bread tie works very well.

next thing to look at is the pilot jet circuit it runs the bike up until 2 or 3k rpm when the mains kick in

sand down the red tube on the carb cleaner to fit into that hole. be carful as it is going to spray out the well in the bowl bodt directly above the little hole on the rim of the bowl where the brass tube goes. it should shoot across the room

Just paid $3.00 for a little brush and lots of little rigid wires. I just started my 82 Seca 750 a few minutes ago (first time in two years) and need the same remedies. Ether and no idle or down throttle. Carbs coming back off again only this bike has the stock air cleaner box.

notice the smallest size is still not small enough to go down the well and through the jet in the side of the bowl.

your pilot jets and mixture circuit is what idles the bike after the enrichment circuit starts and warms up the bike.
