As I'm tinkering with the custom air box for the 650. I grab my ignitor box.
Knowing it had a case crack since purchase day. I decided to go and open it up. Well, heres what I found pc board is cracked not good for pyro in the cylinders.

You can save it if your soldering skills are good.

Personally I'd contact the seller and ask for a refund.

At second look I don't see any damage to the traces. Have you hooked it up to see if it'll make the coils spark?

This ignitor came with the 650 when i purchased the bike. My soldering skills are ok. Its my vision that ain't the best. could get a board holder, large magnifying glass and a lower watt iron. Ill look into saving it.
Is there a parts crossover chart on here somewhere?
Ive noticed yamahapartshouse.com has loads of factory parts still available. It would be nice to know what interchanges with maxims.

Some of the traces are damaged. Ill check it with a meter to see whats good and whats not. I have 1 lined up on ebay. Just waiting on me to pull the trigger
