XJ900N Exhaust

Hi guys, does anyone know if the collector and downpipes used on the '86 700N and the '86 900N were the same?

I'm assuming if they are the same motor with different bore sizes they may be.

I realise these weren't released in the US, but the frame is identical to the F models, so if someone knows about the F?

 

I think the cylinders are taller on the 900

 

I've seen several discussions here about the head pipes, consensus is, as long as you use a complete set of 4 they should fit the other motors.
I think the exception to this may be the earliest 650 Maxim as the collector does not join all 4 together. As XJ550H has alluded, the 900 has a 8.1 mm longer stroke so the motor will be 4 mm taller, this can be accommodated in the assembly though.

I strongly doubt the 700N collector will fit your 900, it accepts entirely different silencers, it might fit but probably won't blend smoothly with the 900 silencers.
