No----not without a lot of work. The distance from the rear mount to the front mounting "doughnuts" is different (much shorter on the 550 models) and that is a problem that is hard to resolve.............

Thanks for the advise. I'm thinking I'll have to get this one repaired. Anyone know anything about these guys?

Checkout ebay item # 160185647676...The buy it now price including shipping is less than half of the cost of having your tank repaired.

That tank is off an XJ550 Maxim.....it'll fit, but it doesn't have the inward "scalloped" area along the rear sides of the tank. Those scallopped areas give a rider a place to tuck their knees against the tank when riding in a more forward position (as the Seca style/image/cornering ability dictates). All the 550/650/750 Seca tanks had those scallops, and they look better on those bikes (imo) than a regular "fatty" maxim tank. AND, putting a Seca tank on a Maxim looks funny, as the scalloped areas on a Seca tank don't flow very well into the seats and side panels on a standard Maxim model.

Will a Seca 750 tank fit a Maxim 650 frame?

I do know that a 650 Maxim tank fits on a 750 Seca frame, so I would assume it would work the other way around.
    Here it is:

PD....yes, they will! ALL versions of XJ650 tanks (except the 650 Turbo models) will fit on ALL model XJ750 frames, and vice versa. I don't know about XJ700 tanks because I've never had one, although I think they'd be the same dimensionally......I can't ever find any XJ700 tanks! Same for the XJ900 tanks.....can't find them.

If anyone has any "donor" tanks.....rusted, crushed, etc. is okay.....I'll be glad to get one just so I can take the measurements.

And although I can't find any XJ1100 tanks, I'm assuming that they're in a league of their own----the one tank that I've seen in person (on a bike) is huge!
