    Hello All,

I found these carbs in a box buried in the back of my sister-in-laws shed. They are stamped Mikuni and Made in Japan but I don't see any other markings. Does anybody recognize them and know what machine they are from? I am assuming they are from a UJM but I guess they could be off a car or snowmobile.

    Thanks
    Paul

@XJ550H I will take off the float bowls and look for the JB weld.

I saw some similar carbs on eBay for a GS1100 but there are some differences so I haven't nailed down an exact match yet.

there looks like there is a rod on side of carbs with thr rubber boots.
looks like the hose is hooked to overflow
tee between carb 2 and 3 is fuel supply

looking at carbs on partzilla from 1980 up may help

I'm suspicious of them being 1979 or older. Yamaha Mikunis had steel tops beginning with 1980. Search Suzuki GS carburetors.

I don't see how the throttle attaches to them? Is it from the side or over the top like most motorcycles. The bowls have the drain screws like so many of the before 1980's bikes had. Double fuel line inputs they have set up as a "T". My XS1100 is that way. If you do a little more cleaning you might be able to see a mark on them. This link might help you too, they sell all kinds of replacement rubber for carbs. http://jbmindustries.com/

    from a suzuki rebuild tutorial
Starting in 1980 (in the US market anyway) all
GS bikes adopted Mikuni BS (CV) carburetors.
    • These carburetors came in three sizes
(denotation reflects the inside throat diameter by
    the butterfly throttle valve):
    – BS32 (32mm) for GS550, 650, 750, 850
    – BS34 (34 mm) for GS1000 & 1100 – also 450
(although the 450 configuration is somewhat
    different)
    – BS36 (36 mm) for the GS1150

the carbs had 2 styles of hat

black and silver carbs are from GS 1150
