What would be a safe way to remove the two halves of each crank journal bearing out of the case halves? I dont want to damage them due to them being in good shape but I also want to make sure I dont have any debris under them since I will be using a parts washer to clean the cases completely. Also after I use the parts washer do I need to coat the case with anything to prevent corrosion?
    TIA

With the bearings i just use my fingers using a push and slide action if you get what i mean and then to get them back in again i just use my fingers and push.

mark them with a sharpie as to location coat then with assembly lube wrap with plastic wrap and store in ziplock bag, any parts you cleaned coat with oil to prevent flash rust or corrosion . wrap what you can in plastic wrap store larger parts in trash bags. label all bags with what is in them. keep a written list of whats in the bags and number bags.
