I am starting a new XJ Riders Forum on Delphi. It is NOT to compete with this forum, but only to augment it. I request any assisstance you can lend. I am relatively new (renew actually) to XJs, having not owned one for around 25 years. I am currently getting an 82 Seca 650 and just thought that another forum might attract more people and thoughts, tips, stories as well as visitors and contributers could be shared. If this doesn't sound like a good idea, I will happily shut down the Delphi forum and concentrate here. Thanks for your input.
The URL for the Delphi forum is: http://forums.delphiforums.com/XJRiders/start
    again..thanks!

My only question would be -- why? Delphi forums are an excercise in pain and suffering compared to how nice it is here... no advertising inserted into threads, limited banners, no spam, etc......

The few Dephi forums I've belonged to all ended up being the same, and generally nowhere near as pleasant an experience as at this site.

See...this is what I'm looking for. Input from those here. If others think its a bad or futile idea I will gladly kill the forum.

I love XJBIKES.COM! It is probably the best forum of any subject matter that I have ever found. Improving on the almost perfect is a difficult task. Best wishes if you decide to try, but it's kinda like splitting a vote between 2 similar candidates at the expense of your cause.

One more negative and I'll close the forum. No point starting it up if nobody likes the idea.

To be honest, I have limited time to browse forums. I am very happy with these forums, great people with a lot of great information, no flaming, no real reason to look for another bike forum.

    Cheers,

    Phil

I second all the reasons to not start another forum. This one's all the forum I'll ever need! :)

    All kidding aside,
There is enough here to statisfy any bits of my xj needs.

can't see having to look several places for the same info, easier to just get it here.

Looking back through through the last 18-Months of business, right here, if we didn't discuss just about every single issue there is to discuss ... somebody tell me what we left out!

All other forums I belong to run off the phpbb styles..I love them..my bike club uses delphi and I find it annoying looking around trying to figure out where Im at on there.

The Delphi XJ forum is now officially gone. I'll just stay here. BTW...I just brought home my "new" 1982 XJ650RJ. Needs some work, but fires up and runs!

There's enough experience in dealing with XJ-Bikes to get that bike of your up and running like a ... like a ... like any cliche' you can shake a stick at.

We take bikes that othehrs place in dumpsters and restore them to museum pieces with ease around here.

Even if the engine won't run ... we'll find you one that does. And, with low milage; too! Then, make that run better than it did when it was new.

We even have had a guy straighten-out his frame by having his dad run over the bike with a truck. No lie!

So, for all your XJ Needs ... you don't need another Forum ... you just need to Logon and ask the burning questions that you need answered.

Pods, Mods, Chops and Customs ...
Somebody in here has the four, one, one
This place is the bomb ...
    We're XJ Bikes dot com!

Thanks Rick. The onloy thing I need to begin with is a right side cover, exhaust system (at least the right muffler) and a set of handlebar switches. Other than that its mostly cosmetic. Any help rounding up the needed item would be appreciated!
