As you can see I already own the left, I need the right. willing to pay $$$ for one since they are hard to find apparently but the left isn't lol. My dad passed this bike down to me and I want him to see that I will make him proud by taking care of it. I plan on even doing my First Carb. rebuild this winter (super excited), anyways this bike means a whole lot to me and I plan on passing it down when I have kids of my own. Thank you for your time looking at this thread.

I'm curious how your dad lost the right side cover. I'm curious why they're so rare.

Right side covers the battery. A lot of time the cover is removed to service the battery. Cover set on the shelf and never seen again.

Or a post breaks and it blows off during a ride.

I was actually lucky to get the right cover for my baby when bought her. I was loading the bike into my truck when the seller's father came out of the garage saying "Don't forget to give him this. You took it off when you charged the battery."

So that's how they dissapear. If he didn't remember to give it to you and you just thought it was gone to side panel heaven then the PO would've probably thrown it away and that's how they dissapear.

It's my contention that the right side covers are used as winter sleds by the gnomes who steal my socks out of the dryer. It's the only thing that makes sense.

Somebody with a 3D printer could make a mint just producing decent side covers.

I was thinking fiberglass but the 3d printer thing seems like a hell of a lot less work.

The design process, and prototyping would be the hardest part of that. Getting the angles and stuff just right. Not sure if there are differences between left and right on that model.

And dialing in the slicer settings. The weak point in the stock cover is the mounting pegs, and with layer adhesion always being a challenge it would still be the weak point in a 3D print.
Now, printing a mould for casting in resin, or injection molding....That's different.

I have fixed the side covers with plumbers abs cement or pvc cement and fiberglass cloth, depending
on what the covers are made from. It takes several days to cure but the repairs are strong

I've done the same with an ABS slurry and/or ABS welding. The issue is that side covers will eventually become impossible to find at anything like a reasonable price.

Hi Nick, I have a set of pearl covers... left is solid, right had two issues:
    1. A tab is is broke
    2. Bottom edge was cut off/modified.... either leave it as is or rebuild/repair.
If these look of interest, send me a private message.
