    Howdy All,

'83 XJ750 Midnight Maxim, I replaced the brake lines and calipers, just got done. Now I cannot get any pressure on the lever at all. When starting the bleed process, I am able to get fluid moving out of the bleed valves when I squeeze the lever, but simply unable to get any pressure on the brake lever at all.

I have tried every which way of making sure there is no air in the lines, so im finally at rebuilding the master cylinder. Just wanted to see if there were any opinions on this being the root of my problems before I sink another couple hundred into it. Thanks in advance!

Same happened to me. I taped the brake lever against the handlebar overnight and that fixed it.

A year ago I spent hours trying to bleed the front brakes on my Seca. I came here looking for tips/tricks to bleeding out the front brakes; one member suggested pumping fluid from the calipers back up to the MC; I gave it a shot; in 5 minuets, I had a solid front brake. Give it a shot.

all through this ordeal, keep the wheel straight ahead or there will be a bubble in the wheel cylinder

you can test the mc by inserting a plug bolt in the output port to see if it holds pressure when you squeeze the handle.
