    I have a 1980 XJ 650 Maxim. Does anyone know if a fairing mounting kit from an XJ 550 will work? :?:

    not sure, you can check ebay, I have seen a few there, other wise you can look in bone yards to see. check out www.craigvetter.com I beleve there is mount instructions for the 650 on there.

    I bought a Vetter fairing for my 82 XJ650 last fall and was not able to find a bracket. I did use the one that came with it off a CB550 and was able to modify it to make it work. I don't think a XJ 550 bracket would fit the 80 XJ650 though it should be similar enough so you could adapt it.
