Question on syncing Radian 600 carbs

    87' yx600 Radian. This might be a dumb question.

    So, because the Radian uses CV carbs, I dont have to worry about syncing them, I just have to balance the air/fuel mixture screws on them? Or am I missing something?

    No you have to synch carbs , regardless , the air fuel mix is set after carbs are synched .

    The thottle plates have to be synched or the slides won't rise at equal rates and the cylinders will be fueled unevenly.

    I always thought that CV carbs were self balancing. Any chance one of you fine people could point me in the direction of a relevant thread?

    Never mind, dumbass moment. I was conflating the sync screws with the air mix screws.

    You still have to adjust the idle mixture along with a running sync, neither are “self balancing” or self tuning.

    XJ650 Carb. Balancing

    Works the same on your machine.
