I wouldn't ask dealers any where I live nearby there not the approachable type if you know what I mean! To be honest it's not the gauge or tube so much am interested in, it's the adapter that attaches to the float bowl which i can always attach a piece of tube to. The tube itself is useless without the adapter as it won't seal to the hole on the bowl unless u have the adapter or you'll have petrol everywhere, and its too expensive to buy on here and ship to the UK for what it is.

Do you have something like our Harbor Freight? Specializes in cheap tools. I use the black plastic fitting for bleeding brakes, fits nicely into the carb bowl for setting fuel levels.

Managed to measure the size of the hole get it to about 2.4mm. So would I require a piece of tubing 2.4mm outer diameter? To fit snuggly in the hole to stop any leaks.

this is a simple solution I came up with.
If you've ever bought a replacement battery (unsealed) you probably have the tubing on hand.
Use the insulators from these closed end electric terminals to stiffen the tubing.

I knew I saw that somewhere. Could you do a short writeup and put it in the DYI section for me to pin?

No worries. I moved that post and used it to start a DYI thread. I much prefer that to finding that I need to spend a weekend cleaning the DYI section up. There are still old posts from years ago that I need to weed out.
