update on my 550 seca

    i put a battery in it and just found out the motor is locked up. is the bike worth messing with.

    are you sure it's locked up?

    did you try push-starting it to see if it would turn over?

    EDIT:

    better yet, take the timing cover off and try turning the motor with a wrench

    Better yet, pull all the plugs and put a teaspoon of penetrating oil in each hole. Wait overnight and repeat.

    Make sure you have oil in the crankcase and bike in neutral. Then try to turn with a wrench on the timing plate nut.
