Hey folks! I have my M/C cleaned up and ready for the new sight glass, and noticed in Len's instructions that it says to do the rebuild BEFORE installing the sight glass. This seems counterintuitive to me as reinstalling the piston, etc requires lubing with brake fluid and stuff, all of which I just cleaned OFF of the area for the permatex to adhere to. Am I missing something? I also don't see the advantage of waiting to install it after those are replaced.

    Thanks!

i installed my sightglasses (3 of ) after strip down and before repaint and rebuild,
i used the watch glass crystal and black silicon sealant (RTV), didnt have any problem with rebuilding piston etc as it only needs a smear of fluid to rebuild
