    I'm new on XJ and here on the forum, but I like very much both (bike & forum) so I'll introduce myself:
    Since one month I'm the proud owner of an XJ550 (1981) with 29k miles, bought from Germany from the first owner. The bike was sitting stored for the last 18 years, so I'll have to deal with some problems: exhaust valve no4 is not closing (low compression), pilot screw no4 locked into carb, some o-rings missing, diaphragms to be replaced...
    I found loads of good info on the forum, bought the service manual and now trying to get the bike in perfect shape again, step by step.
    Unfortunately we will never meet (except the www) as I live in Bucharest Romania.

    I'm waiting just for the tank badges and esthetically is acceptable.
    I have to solve now the valve and carbs... Meantime I hope to finalize the registration. The covid stopped us all....
