Steering Head Bearings

    Anyone know if the bearings for the 650 are the same as the 750. Partsnmore.com has some but only lists them for the 650. I have a 750K Maxim.

    According to the new xj cross ref. (which I just recieved today) all of the original parts are interchangeable, so I would say yes the kit for the 650 should fit.

    Jeffrey,

    Yes - the 650 Maxim and 750 Maxims do use the same tapered head bearings. After my accident 2 years ago, I got teh triple tree from a 750 to use in my 650 frame, and installed the partsnmore bearing kit on my bike. Works like a champ..
