I have her running now on E5 fuel. Still reluctant at low revs but sings at 4000rpm and above. I am thinking a pilot jet is blocked onthe Mikuni carbs...? What size are stock jets for one of these bikes please? Are there any videos on line to follow someone replacing pilots? Likewise, do I have to count the turns in on new pilots?
Also, where can I get parts in the UK?

Odds are you dont have to replace anything. These carbs are notorious for getting blocked up with crap in the small holes inside the jet. A can of carb cleaner and a pack of welding tip cleaners and a lot of patience and you can clean them out. When I got my X, I tried rushing cleaning out the ports, and had to do it three times till I got it right. I don't remember a video specific for the X's carbs, but there are videos for regular xj's you can find, though they are different carbs, the idea is the same. Hope this helps
