    Hi

I have a problem with panel control on xj 650 turbo

Fuel jauge are ok, boost pressure are ok but i don't have any warning pictographic displays (no sidestand, no battery level, no oil level).

    Fuse on fusebox seems ok.

I don't have battery on the bike, i just have a booster battery on wire

Do you have an Idea ? Maybe a fuse in the control panel

    Thanks

Are you saying the fuel icon is displayed, but not the others?

You need two fuses and a good ignition switch to supply power to the CMS (Computer Monitoring System) to display the seven warning icons.

One member Said me the seven icon are displayed when the motor IS starting. Never juste with Switch on.

I had start the engine and the seven icon hard displayed.

But how Can i do to check if sidestand Switch, battery Switch etc are ok and put an icon on the panel ?
We have a process to make a check ? I don't understand what is the function of the black Switch on the left of the panel

One member? I believe they are similar to other CMS systems in that the icons are displayed when power is applied as depicted in the above diagram

The difference with the Turbo is the way the CMS is activated. On the other bikes like the XJ750 Seca the CMS is active once the bike starts and the AC Generator outputs a voltage.

On the Turbo the CMS is activated a few seconds after the fuel pump relay is energized, so when engaging the starter button or when the bike is running the CMS will be active - note it has a built in delay so initially when the starter button is depressed it takes a couple of seconds to become active

If by panel you mean the display then on the left from top to bottom is the side stand, brake fluid level, and oil level. Those three are switches that are normally closed, so if you want to test the function you could unplug the appropriate connector

Or perhaps the initiate test or warning control to stop the light from flashing?

In this post another Turbo owner discusses how to activate the CMS - start at page 3 post 54

If i understand, when i push on the starter buttonn or few seconds after, the seven icon on LCD are flashing.

After, the icons turn off and if i want to test o need to unplug the contactor of sidestand, brake level, etc.

What is the consequence if i push on the buttons warning control or check ?

They should go through a sequential check of each possible fault illuminating the single icon currently under test. If no faults are detected, then the test will complete and a blank screen will be present. If a fault is detected, for example side stand then that icon will stay illuminated until the condition is corrected; in the case of the side stand it can be as simple as stowing it away in the up position

Yes, for the side stand you can start the bike in neutral and leave the side stand down and it will be faulted, the oil and brake fluid you could unplug if it is a bullet connector or extract the appropriate pin from a multipin connector. The tail would require removing both bulbs as the Turbo will not detect one bulb out like the 750 Seca. The headlight can be unplugged, and the battery check is usually a bullet connector that can be unplugged

If you have a fault the warning light will blink red. This can be stopped by pushing once on the warning control and the light changes from flashing to a steady glow. If pushed again the warning light should go out

The check switch will initiate the same test as with startup and it will scan through each one. It really isn't doing much since the faults detection is always active once the bike is running, but could be said it provides reassurance that the system is operational

    Thanks.
I think i have a problem because i start the bike without brake fluid, without battery (just battery booster), and without the battery level plug on and the panel find 0 problems

I think i have one problem with all the contactor. Maybe a connector with oxydation
