Exhaust parts question

    Hi all.
    Does anyone here know if the tailpipes from an '81 Maxim 550 are the same as those that belong on my '82 750? They look like the same pipes, but I looked at an OEM parts finder and the part #s are different. TIA,

    You might be able to make them work but no they aren't the same. The 750 has a collector that the mufflers fit into while the 550 has a crossover pipe. You would have to cut the crossover pipe off and weld the opening shut.
