save your $ , you'll need it for the paper air filter.

The duct is hard to find. Most have ended up in the trash over the years

Yes I found one online for $60 + international shipping, so I think I’m going to have to keep looking/waiting..

Looks like that would be a good 3D print project.

I ended up finding one on ebay in one of those piles of bolts and junk that the breakers sell as one big batch - so I got a duct and a pile of random bolts and brackets and junk for like $15. That was pretty lucky.

I didn't notice any difference in performance, sound, or anything else with or without it, for whatever that is worth.

Just remember - DONT OBSTRUCT THE AIR INTAKE ARER

True. I have played around with replicating the plastic duct for the 650RJ/650 Maxim. I have not attempted a replacement for this rubber piece. Somebody with some sick CAD skills should try that....

I have a few snorkels out of 1984 XJ750RL's. Look similar but not certain if they are the same.

Hey mark ! Sorry for the late response. I have tried to do some research on the cross compatibility (albeit maybe not exact) of the two snorkels and cannot find a definitive answer. I would hate to trouble you from across the pond though for a part that may not be compatible, whereas someone else looking with the same bike as you could use it.. Thank you for reaching out though!
