Can any of you XJ owners help with this.

I have an XJ750X maxim engine with carbs and igniter/cdi. I ve had it a couple of years and have decided to make a Trike but the wiring loom has been damaged/hacked. I have a wiring diagram but need to know what pins on the Igniter/cdi correspond to the colours on the diagram.

There are two connector blocks one four pin and one five pin.

Any help would be appreciated as I want to bench test the engine before building the trike.

    Ta

looking at the CDI module, sticker on top, connectors facing toward you:

    5-pin (on the left)
    <not used>.......<orange>....<black>
    <black/white>...<grey>.......<not used>

    4-pin (on the right)

    <red/white>....<orange>
    <black>..........<grey>

It's the same on both of my XJ's, so maybe yours is the same, too.

    Ta for that.

My module (sticker on top connectors facing me) 5 pin right and 4 pin left?

There may be a difference so any one else?
