    Hey folks,

My rectifier plug has a couple connections which were bad, and as a result they got hot/melted the connector. I managed to push the connectors out of the plastic housing but it's toast.

Anyone have any recommendations on replacing/bypassing that plug? I was just gonna use butt connectors for the time being, but maybe there is a better idea? Thanks!

That happens with lots of our bikes. Not only the Yam but many of the metric bikes have that issue, very common. Yet the butt connectors will work just fine, make sure you make all the metal well insulated so nothing can touch it. Otherwise, there are many companies out there that sell OEM replacement connectors if you want to get them.

    Goo luck with the repair.

Thanks! I've been searching and look to have found a replacement. That said, in the meantime I may have to rely on the good ole BCs :D
