I had to replace the headlamp a few days ago and everything was fine - replaced the headlamp, started, tested, everything good, shut it off.

Sat until today - now no spark (either coil).

Swapped out a TCI, still no spark.

Seems strange to me that both coils would fail simultaneously, so doesn't seem like it would two bad coils.

What should I be looking at next?

False alarm. I think it's just bad plugs.

All the plugs went bad at once? I would make sure the batter us fully charged (you know this). When you say "replaced headlamp" with a OEM or something new? I would still look for something that would cause both coils to stop working. To have 4 bad spark plugs? I know that I have overlooked some simple things, not afraid to admit it.

Ya, seems a little weird - but I started testing with a new plug and was getting spark. So I swapped some plugs from a different engine and it barked right off.

My best guess right now is that when I tested the new (OEM type) headlamp, it was never fully warmed up and left some sooty gunk on plugs.

Definitely had plenty of battery power - charger and an aux car battery.

I have had that same thing happen, i started the motor with choke on for about 45 seconds shut it off, 10 min later tried to start it again, nothing, there was no spark on all 4 plugs. I put 4 used but cleaned plugs in( bame) started right up.

Thanks @Door dude . Maybe I'm not completely crazy on this one.
