I have a 1982 XJ 650 Maxim which hasn't been started in about 10 years. It would make a good parts bike or project bike. Has about 53,000 miles. It was heavily farkled with crash bars and highway pegs, koni shocks, fork brace and air crossover, fork boots, luggage rack, mustang seat and sissy bar. It's yours for $200 or best offer. Will need to be picked up. I live in Lake Forest, California (Orange County). If not sold before years end, will be donating it to charity.

That is a very good deal. Lots of nice accessories that are really hard to come by these days. Being as I am an East Coaster I can only offer encouragement to both you and the bike's new caretaker. I really like the charity consideration as well, but I doubt you are going to have to wait long for someone to be interested. Good Luck!

If not sold I’d be interested in that rear rack and backrest.

Let me know. I would be willing to make it worth your while to pull it and ship it to me. Thanks. Larry.

Yes, I still have the bike. Not interested in parting it out, but if you want it, let me know and we can make an arrangement.

    from his first post….
So I would think that means he’s asking $200. Since it says “or best OFFER”, I would expect that to mean that if you are looking to pay less, then MAKE AN OFFER.. doesn’t mean he’ll take it, doesn’t mean he won’t. That’s typically what ‘make an offer’ means.

Ok, thanks. Got a xj1100, starts up, runs till it seems to run on fuel in the bowl, then dies. Seems like it runs out of fuel.
