I will guess that those are New Old Stock parts. Made many years ago and stored away somewhere. When they got out in the sun they rapidly aged to what they actually are.

These ones were 48 hours old when they failed.........I bought some good ones from Chacal/xj4ever and they're still on that bike after almost nine years.

Mabe they are. Try a Yamaha dealer like Fowlers in the UK.

So you purchased from someone who claimed they bought from CMSNL? an ebay buy or similar? You may have to 'suck it up' as they say.

I've been bitten like that with genuine NOS zuk' fuel hose.
It was made for 80's fuel - it fell apart with 2020's fuel.
Luckily I spotted it just before it turned me and the bike into a fireball.

It was purchased from Japparts.nl, an otherwise renowned source for older Jap bikes. Costs were 96 euro.
    So, CMSNL then?
Someone told me Yambits only has imitation.

They are probably ALL 'imitation' or 'pattern' parts as we call them by now. If in doubt call a Yamaha main dealer and quote teh part number that you can get off CSMNL's exploded diagrams. IF they can supply
then they are still being made by/for Yamaha. If they cannot then your only options are pattern or long-stored NOS. I suspect that there maybe more that one supplier of pattern, therfore buying form a reputable seller
(XJ4ever in NA or Yambits UK) will be your best bet. But it is still a bet!

Me? Several years ago I wrapped my cracking rubbers in self-amalgaming rubber tape - not so pretty but they still appear to ok. In fact you might consider this with any nw ones you but too.
