    Any exhaust that will work on my Yamaha Xj 750 seca yics . I just got it, made a harness, I need the exauhst to start it.

    You don’t need an exhaust to start it. You need an exhaust to get the gasses away from you and make it not deafeningly loud.

    Ok well I'm just finishing up the starting and charging system and I'll know then if I have to do any repairs in that. Also waiting on the exauhst headers from ebay. It should be fine with just the headers then to start?

    You can start it without headers. It will not be nice or sound too good but you can tell if it wants to run. Have you not seen any of Alan Milliyard's you tube videos of him first starting his engines on his bench or the tailgate of a truck. Flames out the exhaust ports and tremendously loud but he does it.

    I plan to at least turn it over without gas if I ever figure out this wiring. I have header pipes coming. I'll check out the videos today thanks.
