What are these 3 wires coming out of the black plug supposed to be attached to?

    It goes to the "thermo switch" and "thermo unit" on the thermostat housing....note that each of those sensors use their own little sub-harness that combines all 3 wires from them into a single matching red shell, which plugs into that red shell coming off the bike's main wiring harness.
