Funny how the old engine designs were very rounded and blobby looking.

That comment did not go unnoticed. My buddy and I even joked about it when he sent me that ad.

Oh. My. Mad Max called and he wants his ride back.

    That's really sad.

Shows how brutal the sun is on plastics.

Yes for sure. On some plastics that don't have decals on them, a heat gun will bring back some of there luster and or shine. On some....be careful doing it.

There's nothing '90s about that one. Man, I should grab it for parts, but my wife would kill me. Even has one good side cover - no clear shot of the battery side, but I see the empty grommet on the gas tank, so likely MIA.

Yeah, definitely not 90's. Missing the right-side cover which is the one that's hard to find. Exhaust doesn't look too bad which is worth something, but it also looks like at least one plug is missing on the right side. That's a bad sign if it's been sitting outside like that for any length of time.

If it was nearby and the exhaust looked good in person, I might offer a couple hundred. I've got enough other parts to make a working bike even if the engine was toast.

Love how people have no idea what they are listing on FB. "1982 Yamaha Virago".
