If you want a project they are that for sure. It will take some work to get her road ready but well worth it. If you are in the mood to learn about some different types of bikes, the price is right. Getting the carbs out of those engines is interesting. I suggest that you watch a few vids. First time took me over an hr, and you almost feel like you will break the carb rack. I ended up going with ratchet straps and a hot air gun to make all the rubber flex.

Those bikes are known for having a oiling issue. If the PO didn't keep up with the oil changes, the cams could have some issues. Besides the carbs taking some time to get used to the bike is well worth it.

Remember back in the 1980's this was the quickest 1/4 mile bike in the USA. They are a great V4 and once tuned right, will put a smile on your face ever mile of the road. One other small thing to look for is the fork brace above the front fender. They were known to crack or brake. The part is just weak and needs to be upgraded if that part is damaged.

Yeah... going to pass on this little gem. No known history and it's rough. Keeping my eyes open for a Nighthawk.

Great price, if it was closer I might jump on that...The shed is a little full right now though. Good luck on your search for a good bike.

Nice, for style points the Norton wins. Ease of work as well. For maybe all other things, the V65 is still on the list of very cool, powerful fun bikes to own.

My dad's Norton 850 Commando. Just under 16k on the clock and had been sitting since 1983 with 3/4 tank of gas... should be a tasty treat to clean out.
