Uploaded another one of my 3D models for XJs on Thingiverse. This one is for a replica of the emblem that covers the screws on the handlebar pad. Seems like they are always absent and mine too was missing when I purchased the bike.

Sorry I don't have a decent photo of the final version. The bike is stored elsewhere at the moment so I can't get one. This was one of the earlier prototypes and is kinda rough with residue from a failed paint experiment, but you get the idea. A resin printer would probably do an even better job. Just don't use PLA. It'll turn into a potato chip in the sun. PETG works a lot better.

    NICE!
I have been using PETG from Hatchbox (buy on amazon) and it holds its color in the sun really well. I have boat parts that have been outside for 3 years now.

Finally got the 750 back in my own garage. Here's the final PETG version with the super thin layers. You can barely see the layer lines.

Thank you. My emblem had the chrome flaking so badly that I never reinstalled it (I sill have the bar covers in a box, along with the emblem).
There are so many good chrome-look paints now that it doesn't make sense to send any plastic parts out for vapor deposition anymore.

I'd recommend printing this on an SLA printer for anyone who understands how to make a print intended for FDM to work with SLA.

For those who don't know, "vapor deposition" actually means in English "big bucks"..........

Nice work. Small hijack, but AGES ago, some forum member laser cut a bunch for me in different colors and said to pass along what I didn't use. Can't remember what I've got left - I don't use one anymore because my RAM mount uses that space, but I used a black one for a keychain and a silver one of a keychain for my wife's Yamaha Vino scooter. I feel like there's red and gold, but I can check at home if there's any interest. They'd be free (probably even get my work to pay for the stamp). :D LMK.
