oil level light xj 550 seca 1981

    just changed my oil and filter and the oil level light keeps coming on .I am sure there is enough oil what could be the problem any suggestions?

    It is probably just sticking. In time it may correct itself. Just make sure there is enough oil visible through the site glass.

    Fill the sump until the air bubble is gone from the sight glass.

    Put oil in until it touches the very top of the sight glass opening.

    Make sure you are checking the oil level on the center stand on level ground!
